Do you struggle with the feeling of resistance after you've decided to make a significant change or take on an important task?
You might have had an exhilarating moment of motivation and inspiration, that moved you into making a decision or commitment which could improve your life dramatically.
But soon thereafter your vibe seems to crash for some reason, that sense of motivation and inspiration dissipates, and you start procrastinating or delaying on doing what needs to be done.
Things happen, maybe there is a crisis, your support system or family seem unwilling to adapt to the changes, or it starts to feel like there are too many boulders thrown onto your path which make this goal seem almost impossible.
The vision and feeling of what your life could be once you've accomplished the goal is fast disappearing from your mind, so you decide to put it off for a while.
Life inevitably goes on, the world doesn't stop just because you're at a crossroads in your own life.
Eventually, the discomfort, challenge, or need which this goal could have solved, rise up again and becomes even more intense than before.
You remember the amazing goal you had before, that it could significantly relieve this struggle and change your life, and decide to try again.
Does this sound familiar?
I used to go through this cycle every year, every time my body or spirit needed me to take disciplined and consistent action to change my life.
It took me a long time to figure out how to get out, how to overcome this feeling of resistance and hesitation.
I will confess, it's not a simple 10 step program - there is no set number of steps for each person.
Among many things, it involves looking inside yourself to figure out where this resistance is coming from, what makes you feel like this goal isn't possible, that you don't deserve it, or that something bad will happen when you do reach it?
I have made it my life's mission to empower women so they can overcome these kinds of challenges.
Have you really decided to make a change, are you ready to transform yourself and your life, do you long for someone to lighten the load so you can focus on YOU?
